Hi, I’m Robert Rumph and I’ve been playing piano since 3rd grade. Like many piano students, I grew up playing Guild competitions, recitals, accompaniments, and festivals. In adulthood I have played keys in church worship bands. I still love playing the classics, worship music, and am working on the blues! Later I joined the school band, and started on saxophone, then switched to bassoon, which I still play in the San Angelo Symphony. My wife Johnny and I have lived in San Angelo since 2013. We have been blessed with a wonderful family, and proudly call ourselves grandparents! After earning two music degrees from West Texas A&M University, my professional career was in public education; teaching band, orchestra, and in administration.
I’ve tuned thousands of instruments over the years so adding piano was a natural step for me. I look forward to helping keep your piano playing its best.
Robert received his piano tuning and repair certification from Piano Technician Academy and is an active member of the Artisan Mentoring program, which is led by some of the most skilled craftsmen and teachers in the industry.
